Tropical Storm Isaias Hits Connecticut – Thankfully Only Minor Damage Sustained at Rockhaven
This past August 4th, Glastonbury, as much of Connecticut, was hit by high gusting winds. Over 100 roads were blocked with large limbs and trees, many bringing electrical wires down with them. During the storm, Rockhaven had only one, relatively gentle, incident. A large lower branch on a linden tree broke away from the tree and lay across the entrance to #363 and onto the roof. The limb remained attached to the tree at its base. The following day, Ray’s Tree Service came and removed it from the roof and the property. Only one shingle needed replacing. We had additional storm debris, with many limbs and leaves down, but nothing requiring extra attention. Although about half of Glastonbury lost power, we did not. We are grateful!
