2019 United Way Day of Caring – Big thank you to Travelers Insurance volunteers!!!

On October 11, eight Travelers Insurance employees from an auditing division showed up, with their sleeves rolled up to work. They were participating in United Way’s annual Day of Caring. United Way, connects non-profits with civic minded business groups.  It is a blessing to the community while providing team building opportunities. The Travelers volunteers scraped and washed 10 bulkheads, cleaned out 5 garages, helped a resident with storm windows on her porch, vacuumed a basement and cleaned streetlights on the property. They were happy to get out of the office on a cool, blustery but sunny day and we appreciated all the help. Rockhaven provided lunch and 3 residents provided desserts.
