What are the transportation options if I don’t have a car?

Rockhaven is located in an active town with the usual options. We have Uber and Lyft. There is a bus stop at the end of our property. The town normally has a Dial-A-Ride service that is managed out of the Senior Center. And lastly, if you need groceries delivered there are a few services available.

Is there a club house or activities?

The Administration house is the Executive Director’s home. We do have two usual events a year, a summer picnic and a Christmas party. In addition, the local Senior Center has many activities.

May I have a pet if I live at Rockhaven?

We love pets and a number live here. We do require that dogs weigh in at a maximum of 40 lbs and that their customary behavior is respectful and considerate of the needs of all other residents. We also require a pet deposit of $250 per pet which is refundable if the apartment is left in an acceptable condition.

What are the fees associated with moving in?

We require a security deposit of one month’s rent when you move in.

Is everyone who lives at Rockhaven a Christian Scientist?

No, we have some lovely residents who are not Christian Scientists but value the teachings of Christian Science. They moved in when we had a number of vacancies and abide by our rules of no smoking and no drinking on the property. The donor of this community made the provision in his will, allowing us to include non Christian Scientists if we could not fill vacancies. Currently, we are trying to fill all vacancies with Christian Scientists as the community was envisioned.
